The time of the Bigg Boss mania is back. Colors has formally announced the launch of Season 7 of its high profile property. Hosted by Salman Khan, Bigg Boss will be aired from September 15 at 9PM.
In an earlier story, exchange4media had revealed that the show is expected to earn approximate revenues of Rs 95 crore to Rs 105 crore.
Vodafone has been roped in as the presenting sponsor for the fifth consecutive year. It is learnt from highly placed multiple industry sources that the telecom player has dished out about Rs 25 crore to Rs 30 crore to be on board. Bigg Boss will be played for 104 days this year.
Commenting on the launch, Raj Nayak, CEO, Colors said, “We are really excited to be associated with Vodafone as the presenting sponsor of Bigg Boss for the fifth year in a row. The strong brand equity of Bigg Boss has made it the most-awaited show on television, providing immense value to our marketers and advertisers. Overall, the channel has been performing strongly, and we are no. 1 in terms of weekend programming with Jhalak and Comedy Nights with Kapil. With Bigg Boss, we hope to raise the bar even further.”
According to market experts, the mass appeal instilled by Salman Khan and the interesting format of the show have been the key reasons for brands to associate with the property. Apart from this, experts have also regularly highlighted that non-fiction shows are far more audience-engaging and offer marketers tangible results and multi-point associations.
Vivek Mathur, Chief Commercial Officer, Vodafone said, “Bigg Boss is an ideal platform that enables us to reach out to our target audiences as it crosses demographics. Through high impact presence, the show helps us in creating exciting consumer engagement activities.”
