| Subject: ★ Salman Khan's presence in BOMBAY TALKIES ! Sat Apr 27, 2013 4:59 am | |
| April 27, 2013 | Rachana Sheth That Bollywood is incomplete without the style bhai Salman Khan is quite evident! And it is reassured now with the latest song of BOMBAY TALKIES 'Apna Bombay Talkies'! Though Salman Khan, as per the reports, had declined to be a part of this special song, which celebrates 100 years of Indian Cinema, his presence is very much felt. Any guesses how? The song, which features 20 of the most prominent names of Bollywood like Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Sridevi, Rani Mukherjee, Vidya Balan, Sonam Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Akshay Kumar to name a few, has either a signature tune or signature sound playing in the background, attributing to that respective star on their appearance on-screen. This at once hark you back to their popular numbers or popular films. So when it's Salman Khan's turn, what could have been better than to play a score from his biggest blockbuster film HUM AAPKE HAIN KOUN and who better than singer S P Balasubramanian, with whom Salman formed a long & beautiful association for numerous hit films, could have sung it. Since SP Balasubramaniam lent his voice to Salman Khan for years so it was quite apt to have his rendition. However, like Salman Khan, SP Balasubramaniam is also making his presence felt through the song. The song has been sung by 22 of India's best singers including Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal, Shaan, Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik, Mohit Chauhan, Udita Narayan and Sukhwindar Singh. BOMBAY TALKIES is an anthology film which consists of four short stories directed by: Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee, Anurag Kashyap and Zoya Akhtar. The film has also been nominated for a special screening at the Cannes Film Festival 2013. BOMBAY TALKIES is all set to hit the screens on May 13, 2013. glamsham | |
